CHAPLAINCY

Chaplaincy in the Dominican Republic presents a unique model. Unlike traditional chaplaincy roles, it is a voluntary service that extends beyond a single institution, addressing the spiritual, emotional, and social needs of individuals across various sectors and within the wider community. Chaplains are recognized with official uniforms, identification cards, and badges, similar to those of police and military personnel.

As this ministry is undergoing revitalization within our denomination, we are actively promoting it throughout the province of  Puerto Plata and other western provinces. We visit local churches and provincial presbyteries to share our vision of extending outreach to governmental and private sectors through the Word of God, social aid, and other supportive initiatives. Leveraging our extensive missionary experience and years of service within governmental institutions, we are developing specialized workshops to facilitate effective ministry within formal, military, and professional environments.

Furthermore, we are strategically exploring sustainable models for community service through local churches, ensuring that assistance is provided without fostering dependency.
